Carol Middleton migrated to Australia in the late 1980s. For a time, she played bass in the rock band Invisible Opera Company of Tibet. Middleton has completed a memoir, about her life on the road with the band, relating to a period in England in the early 1970s. After arriving in Australia, Middleton studied creative writing at Melbourne University. Her reviews and travel writing have been published in Australian journals and newspapers.
