BiographyHistory

Actress, director and teacher, Stella Chapman was the wife of Douglas Ancelon . The couple toured their own dramatic company during the early 1900s and later established their own teaching academy in Sydney. Ancelon and Chapman were well-known for their monthly student productions at the St James Theatre during the 1910s and for their partnership with Walter Bentley in the College of Elocution and Dramatic Art.
