BiographyHistory

Samuel Tinsley began publishing popular three-decker novels for the subscription library market in London in 1872. In 1881 the firm was sold to F. V. White.

Samuel Tinsley and Co. published similar material to the publisher Tinsley Brothers, which operated in London during the same period, but the two firms were not connected.
