BiographyHistory

David Scott Mitchell was a nineteenth and early twentieth century Sydney bibliophile. In his youth he had been one of the first students admitted to the University of Sydney, where he graduated with a M.A. in 1859. His substantial library and collection form the nucleus of the Mitchell Library, Sydney.
