BiographyHistory

The Mitchell Wing of the State Library of New South Wales was built to house the 'immense and unrivalled collection of Australiana [given] to the people of New South Wales' by David Scott Mitchell (q.v). Building of the Wing commenced in 1906 and was completed in 1910.
