1 3 y separately published work icon O Sonata : Rilke Renditions Chris Edwards , Sydney : Vagabond Press , 2016 9778314 2016 selected work poetry

'O Sonata is a suite of renditions — performances, interpretations, transliterations, transmogrifications — of Rainer Maria Rilke’s Sonette an Orpheus, presented here as a parallel text. Dramatising the mythic role of Orpheus as “futile Male”, Chris Edwards’ renditions also comprise interrogations of the lyric impulse, transported to an “Underland” where “becoming begets begone.” ' (Publication summary)

1 4 y separately published work icon After Naptime Chris Edwards , Newtown : Vagabond Press , 2015 8279513 2015 selected work poetry

'A novelty in verse, a trumped-up drama, the ghost of a mercurial dream — After Naptime invites readers to “leap inside” and try the labyrinth. Join the narrator, "Edwards", and his “crack team” of fragmentary misfits as they explore alleged hauntings at an unnamed lighthouse, play hide and seek with the mysteries of commerce and engage in a deadly serious game of “double you or nothing” with a neural network. Each scene of the poem takes place across a double-page spread, with centrally located orchestra pit. By the author of People of Earth and A Fluke: a mistranslation of Stéphane Mallarmé’s “Un Coup de dés…”' (Publication summary)
