Bridges was the sister of Roy Bridges. Her papers are held at the University of Tasmania. She was a music teacher as well as a writer, and was also her brother's housekeeper and secretary. Source: Bonza Schooldays.
During the 1920s a number of her short stories appeared in the Sydney Mail.
The Oxford Companion to Australian Literature states that Bridges wrote a number of novels under male pseudonyms (unlisted). These have not been traced.
