BiographyHistory

Musician and songwriter, who has published his lyrics in Australian periodicals, as well as other short-form writing.

Macainsh studied for three years at Swinburne Film and Television School. He formed the group Skyhooks in 1973 on bass and backup vocals. After the group disbanded in 1980, Macainsh moved into music production and management. Skyhooks reformed for concerts and recorded new albums during the 1980s and 1990s.

He is the son of Noel Macainsh.
