BiographyHistory

Brendan Ryan grew up on a dairy farm at Panmure, Victoria. He has been employed as a teacher and in 1999 completed an Honours degree in English at La Trobe University. In 2001 he received an Emerging Writers Grant from the Australia Council, and in 2005 he received a Developing Writers Grant. A Collingwood supporter, in 2008 he was living in Portarlington, Victoria.
