BiographyHistory

Anna Kerdijk Nicholson migrated from England in 1989 and became an Australian citizen in 1990. She is a lawyer and has served as the editor of the literary magazine, Five Bells. She has been Writer in Residence at the Bundanon Trust where she completed a book-length cycle of 36 cantos; and had served on the committee of Poets Union Inc and as a director of Australian Poetry.

her most recent book, Possession, won the Victorian Premier's Prize for Poetry and the Wesley Michel Wright Prize and was shortlisted for the NSW and the ACT Premiers' Prizes for Poetry. Her first book The Bundanon Cantos was listed in the Sydney Morning Herald's Best Books of 2003.
