Casey Nicholls a writer, teacher and performance maker with and for an juvenile audience. She had worked for the Western Edge Youth Arts, and as an Acting Artistic Director, Writer for Beagle Bay Chronicles in the Kimberley, and, Dramaturg on Fate with Flemington Theatre Group, a collective of young African Australians. Her first play, Industrial Park was produced by Urban Myth Theatre of Youth in 2009, and she wrote Pony in 2010 when she was a member of the St Martin's Emerging Writers' Studio. Casey had also worked as an educational dramaturg on a number of projects for Real TV, and also was a co-founder of Untreated, whose first work was a site-specific exploration of homelessness across cultures called Underpass was presented in 2011 at the Big West Festival.
