Bronwyn Lowe was a PhD candidate in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies at the University of Melbourne, writing a thesis on Australian girls' reading practices in the first half of the twentieth century. The dissertation was published by Routledge in 2020.
She also published an article based on her honours thesis in the Melbourne Historical Journal: 'Reflections of Gender and Memory: Personal Experiences of Women of the WAAAF during the Second World War'.
