Christine Retschlag is a trained newspaper journalist and has spent the past 23 years working on publications in Australia, Hong Kong and London. The 2006 Australian Travel Writer of the Year (Trade/Industry) and Jack Butters Memorial Award for Travel Writing Excellence winner has been an Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) member since 2001. In 2007, she won Best Australian Story over 1,000 words.
