'The ASTW Travel Journalism Awards for Excellence is an annual celebration of outstanding travel writing, photography and tourism communications.
'ASTW Writer members (Full and Associate) are invited to submit their best published stories and photographs of the year, which are judged by an independent panel of judges (who are not usually members of the ASTW). Judges score travel articles on the basis of criteria such as creativity and originality of writing, information value and reader enjoyment, and in terms of inspiring interest in the destination or experience.
'In addition, all members vote online for the most accomplished PR members of the year.
