BiographyHistory

Born in Wellington, J.J. Winlove studied photography at the Wellington School of Design, obtaining a Bachelor of Design in Photography. He later settled in Sydney, where he worked in photography and graphic design before moving into advertising. He began film-making with short films, one of which was nominated for the Monte Miller Award for best screenplay. He made his feature-film debut with June Again.
