Caterina Mastroianni read five of her poems at the 1998 Sydney Writer's Festival: 'Yesterday it was Wog, Today'; 'Language Sometimes Labours'; 'Living Unconsciously'; 'The New Cliché' and, 'Being More'. The festival was part ot the Authentic Ethnic program organised by Barry Gamba, Ethnic Communities Council of New South Wales.
