'It was not always easy being a god in the 20th Century, a realisation that the great Zeus often lamented. As his fellow gods began planning the year's Zeus Day celebrations, Zeus himself could only ponder the fact that mortals no longer revered the gods as they once had - a fact that did nothing to allay his short and sometimes unpredictable temper.
'Hera knew that she was going to have to come up with something pretty special this year to appease her husband and make life for her and the others more bearable for the eons to come. With fresh ideas decidedly scarce, the other gods spent time reviewing life on Earth to see if mere mortals could inspire them to do something different this year.
'It was all set to be pretty spectacular, especially when, at the last moment, Hera came up with the perfect gift for Zeus, which inadvertently put such a scare into Russia and America that they immediately sat down at the table for peace talks!'
