BiographyHistory

A Ngaatjatjarra woman born in Kaltukutjara country near the Docker River, her grandmother was Pitjintjarra and her father was Ngaatjatjarra. She was raised in her father's country which was Papulangkutja or Blackstone and is the eldest daughter in her family. Pantjiti is knowledgeable on Aboriginal cultural stories and songs in the Western Desert.

In 1995, Mary had won first prize at the Telstra 1995 National Aboriginal Art Awards (Source: Koori Mail 1995 Ed. 112:39).
