  • Pomegranate Season won the WA Premier's Prize & Special Award in 1998. Polizzotto was educated at Melbourne University and London University where she obtained a Ph.D in 1975. She moved to Western Australia in 1977. She has also written local history books including A Fair Sized Town : Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Its History, 1958-1988 (1988), A History of Joyce Australia 1886-1986 (1986) and To Make a Better Life : Yugoslavs in the Swan Valley (1988).
