Jean Calder has worked 'with people with disabilities in Lebanon, Egypt and the Gaza Strip' for over twenty-five years, often in situations of extreme deprivation and danger. During the 1990s and the early years of the twenty-first century she developed 'an internationally admired rehabilitation program' focussing on the needs of young children. Where the Road Leads tells the story of her experiences.
