BiographyHistory

Patricia Ansell commenced her working life when she was fourteen years old. Deciding to educate herself she commenced studying a General Education course during 1982 and 1983. In 1983, Ansell entered the Darwin Community College, Aboriginal Taskforce, after completion she worked at the Darwin Hospital as a clerk. Later in 1988 worked as a field officer for the Northern Land Council. After completing an Associate Diploma in Business in 1996, she then went on to enrol in the La Trobe Batchelor of Arts course in Arrenrnte languages. In 1999 she entered a story of her history in the 1999 NT Literary Awards and won an Honourable Mention.
