Carolyn Briggs is an Elder and custodian of the traditions of the Boon Wurrung people whose traditional country runs from present-day Melbourne south of the Yarra River to Wilson's Promontory, and to the southeast coast of Victoria. Aunty Carolyn has been active in community development and in the preservation and promotion of the Indigenous culture of southeastern Australia. She was inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in 2005.
