The following announcement appeared in the
Freeman's Journal, 29 August 1868: 7: 'We understand Mr. J. G. O'Connor, of York-street, has this day published a very interesting biography of the late Venerable Archdeacon M'Encroe, written in a pleasing style, and containing accurate details of his eventual career. The price is moderate, and those who esteem the memory of the lamented clergyman would do well to secure a copy.'
