'Buggins' reflects on the 'narrow minded [denominational] bigotry displayed by 'certain members of the "Ballarat United Methodist Free Church"'; on French ballet; on the Prince of Wales Opera House season of Lyster's Opera Troupe; and on recent productions at the Royal Victoria Theatre. Of the latter, 'Buggins' comments in some detail on A Comedy of Errors and notes The School of Reform; or, How to Rule a Husband, The Black Doctor and Anniversary Day, or Helen's Betrothal: An Australian Drama in Three Acts: Scene-Sydney.
