  • Editor's note: 'Any Person possessing a file of The Australian Newspaper for the year 1825, containing the particulars of the extensive robbery of Plate and fifty Dollar Notes of the Bank of N. S. Wales ... alleged to have been committed on the premises of Mr. Jacob Josephson ... on the night of Saturday the 28th August of the preceding year ... will confer a particular favor on the Editor of The Sydney Gazette by forwarding it to him without delay ...'

    The note is repeated in subsequent issues of the Sydney Gazette until 29 May 1838.
