AbstractHistoryArchive Description

An advertisement for Miss Aitken's 'farewell night' at the Masonic Hall on 25 April 1868. The evening performance was arranged 'in compliance with a Special Request conveyed by a Deputation from the Working Classes'.

The advertisement incorporates full program details. Items include selections from William Shakespeare, Douglas William Jerrold, Walter Scott and Alfred Tennyson.
