Notes

  • Tower of Nestle was adapted by several writers including separate adaptations by George Almar and H. M. Milner in 1832. AustLit has not yet established which of the earlier versions was produced in Sydney, New South Wales, in 1838.

'In the course of the Piece [Charles the Second], Mrs. [Anne] Clarke will sing the favorite Songs of 'Why did I Love,' the 'Banks of the Blue Moselle,' and the duet of 'My Pretty Page look afar' with Mrs [Maria] Taylor.
