A column reporting on the 13 February 1868 recital by Miss Aitken and Mr T. P. Hill at the Masonic Hall. The report particularly notes the 'dramatic rendering' of several works including Thomas Hood's 'The Dream of Eugene Aram', Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Bells' and Sydney Dobell's 'An Evening Dream of the Battle Inkermann'.
