Notes

  • An announcement for 'the first of a series of farewell recitals' by 'well-known elocutionists' Miss Aitken and Mr, T. P. Hill. The recital, to take place in the hall of the Australian Library, is said to appeal to 'admirers of good reading and effective recitation'.

    The recitals are also mentioned in The Empire, 15 January 1868: 1, as being under the patronage of H. R. H. The Duke of Edinburgh.
