Catherine Noske holds a doctorate in Creative Writing from Monash University, and has been co-editor of Verge 2007 and Verge 2011: The Unknowable.
Verge 2012 notes that 'She was recognised as part of the Sir John Monash Medal (2008) for her achievements in creative writing. Her short stories have been twice awarded the Elyne Mitchell Prize for Rural Women Writers.' Since then, her non-fiction, which focuses on contemporary Australian writing of place, has also won the A.D. Hope Prize.
In 2018, she was a lecturer in creative writing at the University of Western Australia, where she also works as an editor for Westerly. Her debut novel was forthcoming in 2019.
