Advertisement for a performance at the Royal Victoria Theatre, Sydney, on 15 November 1838 of the 'Drama of Saint Patrick's Eve' and '(for the first time in this colony) a 'Petite Comedy in two Acts, called You Can't Marry Your Grandmother'. The performance included the song 'The Banks of the Dee' sung by Mrs. Clarke (Anne Clarke).
Advertisement on the instruction of 'a Gentleman of talent and taste recently arrived from the Great Metropolis...' for the auction of 'Eight Cases of Books, now landing from the Adelaide, the finest possible selection; amongst them are many of the works of Byron, Moore, Scott, Ainsworth, Milton, Miss Porter, Miss Edgeworth, James, Johnson, Cooper and Marryatt'. Catalogues were to be had at the 'Office of the Auctioneer on Thursday next.'
