BiographyHistory

Frederick Marryat served as a captain in the Royal Navy and wrote a series of novels on life at sea. His work was sometimes published, and advertised for sale, in Australian magazines and newspapers including in the Colonial Literary Journal and Weekly Miscellany of Useful Information and the Commercial Journal and Advertiser.
