The author (possibly the editor of the Perth Gazette, Charles Macfaull) describes the events of the meeting as a shambles '... and the business of the night ended in a dance.' William Nairne Clark, publisher and editor of the Swan River Guardian and Macfaull's opposition, is mentioned prominently. Also mentioned are William Nairn (1767-1853) and a Captain Tompkins.
