Leigh Dale is the author of The English Men: Professing Literature in Australian Universities (1997). Dale helped establish the electronic edition of the Australian studies journal, Crossings : Bulletin of the International Australian Studies Association, in 2000. She became editor of Australian Literary Studies in 2002. With Linda Hale, Dale compiled The AustLit Anthology of Criticism.
