Steel Springs, Steve Dow , single work autobiography

'This much I now know, despite our family's apparent reluctance to dwell on the loss. Early on the morning of 7 August 1915, at the Nek-a strip of ground running atop the Gallipoli hills-Private William Dow was among the first two waves of 8th Light Horse Regiment members to leap over the hessian bags lining the Anzac trenches into immediate slaughter by machine gun fire.'  (Publication abstract)

(p. 148-157)
… Sijo/stling?: Notes on Form as Interlinguistic, Transcultural Survival Strategy, Dan Disney , single work prose

'My Korean friends have consistently reminded me that these are not sijo, an assertion with which I vehemently concur. Within these so-called sijo/stlings, any interaction with the canonical Korean form arises from engaged positions of deference, respect and awe. Simply put, no text in this book draws in the capacious, synergistic, arresting brilliance of the native Korean sijo. (Disney 77)'  (Publication abstract)

Hit and Runi"We met at crossroads,", Leila Mansour , single work poetry (p. 168-169)
Writing, Method, Affect and Adaptation : On Writing a Book about the Death of My Mother., Ianto Ware , single work autobiography

'After my second book came out, I was asked to do a lecture on 'Writing as Method'. I wasn't sure what the term meant but I said yes because it was flattering to think my method was good enough to warrant talking about it. On top of that, the audience was mostly post-grads and I felt very empathetic towards them. I remember how it felt to write a thesis; sitting there day after day, deleting, rewriting, and wondering what I was doing wrong.'  (Publication abstract)

I'n 2021 a curious comedy, Fisk, dropped on ABC TV. The main character, Helen Tudor-Fisk, played by Kitty Flanagan, turns her wits to the often bizarre issues that emerge in a Melbourne estate lawyer’s practice. Predictably (for anyone who works in this area), in one episode a claim is made on an estate that drives the sole beneficiary, Leslie, played by Denise Scott, into Fisk’s office seeking advice.' (Introduction)
