'We celebrate postgraduate scholarship at Batchelor Institute in this special Ngoonjook edition. A Kungarakan word meaning ‘news’ or ‘Listen up!’, Ngoonjook was first issued in July 1988.

'For more than two decades, our journal illuminated the academic life of the Institute until its last issue in 2010 edited by Dr Jeanie Bell.' (Editorial introduction)
