'Hypatia is remembered first and foremost for her blood and her beauty. She was a philosopher and perhaps the greatest mathematician of her time in the late third and early fourth century CE. She was a prominent figure at the Library of Alexandria. She was the daughter of another mathematician, Theon, who's remembered through his annotations and commentaries on the key mathematical and astronomical texts coming to us from Euclid and Ptolemy...'
