'当代澳大利亚著名作家蒂姆·温顿的女性意识一直是评论家争论的焦点.他的作品中的男性大多软弱无能,敏感情绪化,而女性则外表强悍,控制欲强,富有男子气概,给人一种母权至上的错觉.本文从女性主义的视角出发,以《云街》和《骑手们》为例,对小说的女性表现进行深入解读.论文着眼于女性的自我认同,女性的姐妹情谊,以及厄勒克特拉叙事模式阴影下的母女关系等几方面,指出温顿虽然对两性气质进行了颠覆,表示出消解男女二元对立的倾向,但是本质上还是个男权主义者,因为温顿小说中女性话语始终被嵌入男权话语模式,成了烘托男性形象,发掘男性自我的重要媒介.'
