The Representation of Women in Tim Winton's Novels, Zhan Chunjuan , single work criticism

'当代澳大利亚著名作家蒂姆·温顿的女性意识一直是评论家争论的焦点.他的作品中的男性大多软弱无能,敏感情绪化,而女性则外表强悍,控制欲强,富有男子气概,给人一种母权至上的错觉.本文从女性主义的视角出发,以《云街》和《骑手们》为例,对小说的女性表现进行深入解读.论文着眼于女性的自我认同,女性的姐妹情谊,以及厄勒克特拉叙事模式阴影下的母女关系等几方面,指出温顿虽然对两性气质进行了颠覆,表示出消解男女二元对立的倾向,但是本质上还是个男权主义者,因为温顿小说中女性话语始终被嵌入男权话语模式,成了烘托男性形象,发掘男性自我的重要媒介.'

The Communicative Intention of Silence in Remembering Babylon, Kong Yilei , single work criticism

'澳大利亚作家戴维·马洛夫的小说《忆起了巴比伦》自出版以来,在广受赞誉的同时也受到了部分质疑和批评.有评论家认为这部小说在土著问题上忽略了他们遭受的压迫,“将政治一笔抹煞”.这样的批评主要源于对小说中三种沉默的误读,忽略了沉默背后的交际意图.该小说的真正意义蕴藏在沉默背后,借助会话沉默与主题沉默,马洛夫揭露和批判了历史上澳大利亚白人在建构家园的过程中对土著所采取的直接暴力和文化暴力,同时他还通过文本沉默向读者展示了土著文化的深邃质朴,指出只有向土著学习,白人才能成功在此建构家园.'
