Chronicling the Diaspora’s Stories : A Tribute to Helen Nickas and Owl Publishing, Konstandina Dounis , single work column

'A few months ago, my dear friend and colleague Helen Nickas quietly informed me that she was officially wrapping up her publishing house, Owl Publishing. Although I knew that she wanted to spend more time with her beloved husband George, as well as with her children and grandchildren, and that she had most certainly earned the right to a more peaceful retirement, I couldn’t help but feel a tinge of sadness.' (Introduction)

Screen Australia Responds to Reasons Why There Are Less Greeks on Australian Screens, Con Stamocostas , single work column

'Screen Australia, the Federal Government’s key funding body for the Australian screen production industry found that Greek and Italians were significantly underrepresented on film.' (Introduction)

Why Aren’t Greeks Cool Anymore?, Con Stamocostas , single work column

'During the 90’s and Noughties Greeks were everywhere in Australia. The success of comedy productions ‘Wogs out of Work’ and ‘Acropolis Now’ not only broke audience records for both stage and screen but took the Greek Australian experience mainstream. The ‘Heartbreak Kid’, ‘Head On’ and TV show ‘The Slap’ further explored the second generation in adapting to an ever changing culture. But in recent times there has been a distinct lack of Greek Australian stories and characters on TV and film screens.' (Introduction)
