Know the Author : Andrew Daddo, Allison Paterson (interviewer), single work interview

'Andrew Daddo wears may hats, including those of an actor, podcaster, golfer and media personality. Despite that impressive list, the hats of which I sense he is most proud are those of father and successful writer of books for children.' (Introduction)

The Literature Centre, Fremantle : Celebrating Reading since 1993, Sue Osborne , single work column
You could be forgiven for not noticing The Literature Centre when you first drive past it. Situated in a cosy corner of the grounds of the heritage-listed Fremantle Prison, it is a little architecturally overshadowed. But as you enter the gates of the former Old Prison Hospital the story changes. Founded by Lesley Reece (OA) in 1993 to bring Australian authors and illustrators and their audience together, it has become not only a local stalwart, but a national innovator in children's literature programming and promotion.' (Introduction)

Bologna Children's Book Fair for Beginners : A Report, Margaret Robson Kett , single work column
'The Bologna Children's Book Fair's 56th edition took place in Italy April 2019. The Fair featured 1442 exhibitors from 80 countries and reported that their number of foreign visitors was up 20% on 2018. For 40 years, I've been a children's librarian, reading wide-eyed about the Fair in journals, magazines and online. My speciality interest is books from birth to five years-old and this was the first year that the Fair had an exhibition of the best tod-dler books that the world has to offer, along with the inaugural prize—the chance to see this was irresistible.'
