Disability and Dystopias is an annotated bibliographic exhibition by Dr Dylan Holdsworth in conjunction with Dr Jessica White’s Writing Disability in Australia. While a lot of scholarship and research focuses on realist representations of disability, other modes of representation can offer radical and transformative places which position “disabled characters…as rebels, renegades and revolutionaries”. This exhibition offers a start point for researchers in exploring the rich representations of disability in Australian dystopian fiction and film.
