AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Al Grassby, the flamboyant previous Minister in the Whitlam Government, and Sylvia Ordonez have written the first biography of the first Labor Prime Minister. Today John Cristian Watson is 'The Man Time Forgot'. His life tells us much about the transition from the nineteenth century world of a global British Empire to the creation of a federated Australian nation state.'
