BiographyHistory

'Angelina Joshua from the remote community of Ngukurr in southeast Arnhem Land, teaches, shares and preserves the Indigenous language of her people. ... Known as Marra, the language has only three fluent-speaking elders remaining in the community and therefore in all of Australia. It's one of the most critically endangered languages in the world.'
