History

The Australian Christian Book of the Year Award is given annually to an original book written by an Australian citizen. The award recognises and encourages excellence in Australian Christian writing, and carries a prize of $3,000 for the author, and a framed certificate for the author and publisher.

The annual Australian Christian Book of the Year Awards are sponsored by the Australian Christian Literature Society. They are designed to encourage Christians towards the highest possible standards of content, quality and effectiveness in the preparation, presentation and dissemination of Christian Knowledge. They also encourage and facilitate the development and sharing of Australian expertise in writing, creating, promoting, disseminating and effectively using Christian literature and resources.
