History

The Short and Sweet Theatre Competition showcases Australian 10-minute plays vying for a $20,000 prize pool. Plays were performed at the Sydney Arts Centre. The competition was founded by Alex Broun

'We've all heard of William Shakespeare - right? You know - Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, Taming of the Shrew! But did you know Shakespeare had a brother? Who was also a writer? His name was Ralph Shakespeare. His writing is nothing like that of his more famous brother. In fact without the famous last name in common you'd never believe they were related.'
