Notes

  • The John and Patricia Ward History Prize was established by State Records NSW in memory of historian John Manning Ward and his wife Patricia. It is intended to encourage the use of original materials in the research and writing of history.

    Entries must be books (including e-books) about Australian history. They must be based on research predominantly undertaken in Australian archives, libraries and repositories, using original sources, including documents, manuscripts and pictorial materials.
