  • Editor's note: 'Pinchas Goldhar, who died in Melbourne in 1946 [sic] at the early age of 46, was one of only a few Yiddish writers who introduced Australian literature into the Yiddish language. Similarly, only a little of his outstanding work has been translated into the English language. That little was of a quality to cause literary sensation wherever it was read' (p. 6)
