'Welcome Home Lightning Stone is a new play presenting the moving story of adults searching for a deeper identity, who are on their 'Journey Home.' It also looks at the terrible impact of forced removal of Aboriginal children, in the past and today. (Source: Welcome Home Lightning Stone website www.welcomehomelightningstone.net.au)

Production Details

  • Premieres on February 22nd 2013 at the Gundungurra Tribal Council.

  • This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body. And, supported by the Blue Mountains Cultural Partnership Program 2012.
  • The show will include live acting and live music, plus integrated visual sequences of dance, art, location film, rap and more.
  • This play is an outdoor theatre show.
  • March Tour:

    • 8 and 9 march at St Pauls Church, Mt Victoria
    • 15 and 16 march at Kindlehill School, Wentworth Falls
    • 22 and 23 march at Megalong Valley Uniting Church
    • 28 march at Redfern community centre.
