'Love Letters tells the story of a young couple who fall in love in the last weeks of World War Two and become engaged a few days before his destroyer leaves to re-join the British Pacific fleet in Sydney. Plans to meet there shortly after, are disrupted by the sudden end of the war. The fleet leave immediately to take the surrender from the Japanese in Shanghai, take urgently needed supplies and release POWs. And so his letter to her begin.
